Self care...its a whole mood.

Its also a must. The steady, unrelenting pace of today's world means that self care is one of the most productive things you can do.

Many years ago I wrote a post in which I wrote about my problem with the idea of 'Super Woman'...

"... that heroine costume just doesn't fit my ever changing body. I have scoured the internet for advice from the cape wearing clan and there is so much of it: take your vitamins, don't skip breakfast, skip breakfast, indulge in me-time (what?!), practice gratitude, breathe (check- I have this one covered), see a therapist, have sex (who has the energy?!), read (who has the energy?!), good food, good coffee...oh and the list goes on! #tootiredtothinkofhashtags"

I was clearly tired. It took a number of years, life events, and a few epiphanies for me to realise that self-care is exactly that... care for your self... and only I knew what my 'self' needed at any given time (don't judge a slow learner :)).

In the end, I did take some of the advice from the cape wearing ones but, for me, self care was, and is, anything that makes me feel like I am living beautifully; gently and beautifully.

I wanted to start MOOD to be able to share some of those things, spread the self care, spread the joy. I would like to cultivate true connections with an audience that truly needs and wants what we offer them.

MOOD was created to help you live beautifully.
